Day 1

New York - Newport - Boston (211 miles)

At the morning, tour continues to Newport, Rhode Island. Through the famous Newport Bridge you will see the luxurious The Breakers mansion.Here, we can personally experience the glory of the American gold rush era of wealth.The bus tour will head to the historic Cambridge City in Massachusetts and visit Harvard University, another member of the Ivy League.Here, you will amble in Harvard's oldest campus and take pictures with the statue of John Harvard, known as the "Statue of Three Lies". Next go to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which was established in 1861. We will take pictures with the backdrop of MIT's modern main buildings.Arrive in Boston, you will have the opportunity to enjoy Boston's most famous feast-Lobster. On the way to dinner, tour bus will pass by Trinity Church and Massachusetts State House of the gold dome.Trinity Church is a characteristic example of major U.S. Christian faith and religious centers.     The Breakers mansion is not just one of the most famous, but is the largest and grandest of the several historical Newport "cottages" that dot the ritzy coastline. The four-story building is located on 14 acres of waterfront property.

  • East Brunswick Pickup: Shuttle bus will pick up passengers at the East Brunswick 6:30am and send them to Manhattan-Chinatown.
  • East Brunswick Drop-off: Passengers will be send to Manhattan- Chinatown (87 Bowery , New York) first and then transferred back to East Brunswick. Since the returning times for different tours vary, passengers who need to go back to East Brunswick have to patiently wait for the shuttle in the meeting point.
  • For Brooklyn departures, the drop off location will be Chinatown - Manhattan at Bowery Street.
  • Drop off location will be the same as pick up location (some locations may not have drop off service).

  • Hotel & Tour Guide Information: This information will be provided by the tour guide the night before departure between 7:00pm - 9:00pm EST via phone call or text message. If for any reason you do not receive the call or text, you should be at the pickup location at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
  • Tour route may be changed and reversed; you may contact the vendor 1-2 days prior departure to confirm final itinerary
  • Customers are held solely responsible for their own travel documents and/or visas if required.
  • Bus Arrangement: Usually only passengers in the same order will be arranged in the same bus. If you book the tour separately with your friends and you want to sit in the same bus, you need to inform us before departure . Or you may be arranged in different buses.
  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.

Pricing Policy

  • Buy 2 Get 3rd Free: (1) Cancellation of free-fare passenger must be made at least 7 days before departure. (2) No-show or late cancellation incurs a $76 penalty fee for the reserved bus seat.
  • Child rates: Child rates apply to those who are 0-12 yrs old. Customers are welcome to use child safety seats on that have lap and/or shoulder belts/harnesses. Children sharing a room with 2 adult passengers pay the same price as a third or fourth adult. Please note that each hotel room can only accommodate up to 4 guests of any age.

The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.

Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.

Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .

Tour Departure: This tour has 100% guaranteed departure; if the tour is cancelled there will be refund of 120%. Restrictions apply; due to weather conditions, State Emergencies, Airport Closures or anything beyond the control of the tour operator the 120% refund will NOT apply.

Cancellation penalties per person for 1-4 days tours

(Notification day and departure day are not counted)

  • 15-30 days or more prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
  • 7-14 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
  • 4-6 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
  • Within 3 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
  • Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
  • Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
  • Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
  • There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.

NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.

Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.

We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
